Bridget + Jacob Wedding: The Crossing at Mervine Kahn

Bridget + Jacob’s wedding day was super special to me because I grew up with Bridget and her sweet family! It was so much fun to see the whole family come together for such a joyous occasion. Bridget is a beautiful person inside and out. I’ve been waiting for her to find a guy as kind as she is…and Jacob certainly is that guy! Their wedding was filled with tears, laughter, prayers and fun.

Bridget’s sweet sister passed a few years ago and Bridget incorporated her sweet memory in so many of the wedding details. Purple is a special color of hers and that’s why Bridget chose for the bridesmaids to wear it. We were also able to take all of the getting ready photos in Suzanne’s room which made it perfect. Bridget’s mom is the kindest person I’ve ever met. Watching her baby girl get married through her eyes was so emotional. The pictures of Bridget and her mom are easily my favorites of the day!

Bridget and her twin sister are the youngest of 9 siblings! They have nieces and nephews the same age as them which is so neat! It was fun for me to see because our new baby, Emma, and my brother, Clint David are only a year apart! It was like looking into the future for me. Lots of fun ahead!!!

Jacob is so kind hearted and it was a pleasure meeting his family. Most of Jacob’s family is from Ville Platte which comes with so many hilarious traditions! They definitely made the reception fun and entertaining for everyone! His sweet sisters were all bridesmaids and watching them tear up as Bridget was getting into her dress was such a special moment. There’s not enough time for me to tell you everything that was perfect about this wedding. I’ll just let you see the love for yourself! <3 Congratulations, Bridget + Jacob!!!

Bridget wore her mom’s wedding veil and so did all the other girls in her family. This veil is AMAZING! It had so many layers of tulle and was so full. I wish they still made veils like this!
Bridget’s older sisters all have children and weren’t able to be in the wedding. But they still spent the whole day getting ready with Bridget in their childhood home. So special!!
It was super important that we get all of Bridget’s sister in a picture. Wrangling all the kids away from their mommas was tricky but they made it happen! Love this.
Jacob with his precious parents. I love when we have time to do this before the wedding! Nothing like natural light.
We literally had 10 minutes for all of these portraits. The sun was setting, we had dozens of people waiting for us…yet we took the time to take these. It was worth every minute! These are the photos they will frame and blow up in their home!!
