Dream Castle Wedding, Broussard, Louisiana: Anna + Xue

How do I sum up this wedding in just a few sentences? It’s literally impossible!! This was our first time photographing a wedding at a new venue located in Broussard, Louisiana named “Dream Castle“. We enjoyed our experience there very much! Anna + Xue have been planning and waiting for this day for so long and I’m so excited everything turned out just as they planned!!

This day was filled with sweet surprises, tears and so. much. fun! The guests literally started dancing from the moment the music started until way past the time we wrapped it up and came home! What a party. I expected nothing less from Anna and Xue. When Anna told me Xue would be preforming a funny dance, during the reception, I had no idea it would be in the middle of their FIRST dance! Needless to say, he surprised the crowd and got everyone in the party spirit!

I loved the Vietnamese traditions Anna and Xue incorporated into their wedding day. From their traditional Vietnamese wedding attire during the reception, to a seven course traditional meal to speeches, toasts and more this wedding will never be forgotten! The Vietnamese culture is so vibrant and full of life. I loved being a part of so many special traditions!

Some of my favorite moments were the gorgeous portraits we were able to capture right after the ceremony, Xue’s speech to his parents while Anna got teary eyed and so. much. dancing…but the truly UNFORGETTABLE moment was when the table next to me caught on FIRE! LOL! Luckily I was very close to the table and started putting out the flames (it’s amazing how quickly floral arrangements and table clothes catch on fire!!) and Steven quickly reacted throwing everything to the floor and stomping it out…just another mental “check” of wedding day “FIRSTS”! Oh, AND, a shout out to an amazing videographer duo because Tony (with Pascual Creative) CAUGHT the wedding cake as it was falling off the TABLE! Hero moment for sure!
